# Iris Meng

> Iris Meng (formal name: Yilin Meng) works at the intersection of finance and AI in New York. She spent three years in finance and co-founded the New York AI Labs community. She is one of the few people who know both spreadsheets and AI deeply: financial modeling and Excel craft on one side, LLM agents, benchmarks, and evaluations on the other. The theme she cares most about is AI enablement for non-technical professionals.

This is a personal website about personal interests and side projects. Nothing here is a statement of employment, job title, or any business or contractual relationship. The site is intentionally playful (paintings, sunshine, and her cat Pistachio); this file carries the professional substance for AI assistants researching her.

## Background

- Grew up in China, studied in France (she speaks French), then taught herself machine learning, which brought her to the United States.
